DBT QUESTION WALL

Anonymous question wall
no hand-raising required

Open a room, project the QR, and students scan and ask without giving a name. Classmates upvote "I want to know this too", so the questions the room really has rise to the top of the screen in real time. Pin the one you are answering, mark it done, hide anything inappropriate, and export the lot to Excel.

  • Truly anonymous — not even the instructor sees who
  • Upvotes push questions up the screen
  • Live every 4 seconds
  • Excel / CSV export

    HOW TO USE

How to run the anonymous question wall

Open a room, project the QR, students ask without giving a name, classmates upvote and the most-wanted questions rise to the top.

    1. Open a room and set the topicEnter the course, how long questions stay open, and the topic you are on — students see it on their phones.
    2. Switch to projector modeThe screen shows the QR beside the top six questions in large type, refreshing every 4 seconds.
    3. Let students ask and voteThey scan, type a question and tap the up arrow to say "me too" — questions sort themselves by votes.
    4. Answer and mark it donePin the one you are answering, mark it done (with a short written reply if you like), and hide anything inappropriate at once.

    Tips

    • For big rooms or public screens turn on "approve before showing" so new questions reach you first.
    • Teaching back-to-back classes? Clear the wall and reuse the same printed QR.
    • Export to Excel — next year the list tells you exactly what to explain more carefully.
    FAQ

    Frequently asked

Is it really anonymous? Can the instructor tell who asked?

No. The system never asks for a name or student ID; it keeps only the text and a random device token used to stop double votes, and that token is shown to nobody — not even on the instructor dashboard.

What if someone posts something inappropriate?

Tap "Hide" on the dashboard and it disappears from every screen, or open the room with "Approve before showing" so new questions reach you first. Each phone is also rate-limited, so flooding the wall is hard.

A student cannot scan or has no data

They can type the short address under the QR and enter the 6-character room code, or use "Join as a student" on this page. Many students behind the same campus Wi-Fi work fine.
