readable from the back row

Set presentation and Q&A time, go full screen on the projector: digits turn amber when time is short, red in the final stretch, and overtime counts up in plain sight. Add the whole class to a queue and the timer logs how long each presenter actually took for grading.

HOW TO USE

How to use the presentation timer

A full-screen clock for project defences and class presentations, with separate presentation and Q&A phases.

  1. Set the timesPick a preset such as 10+5 minutes or enter your own, and choose when the amber and red warnings appear.
  2. Add the queuePaste the teams from Excel; it advances to the next one automatically and can shuffle only those who have not gone yet.
  3. Go full screen and startSpace starts and pauses, the arrows adjust ±1 minute, three sound cues fire, and overtime keeps counting after zero.

Tips

  • The screen will not sleep while the timer runs — it holds a wake lock.
  • The table at the bottom logs each team's real timing — download it as CSV for your marking.
  • Turn off auto Q&A if you would rather let the presentation run into overtime.
HOW IT WORKS

Tips for the defence room

On the projector

Go full screen (or press F): the digits fill the screen and the background shifts to amber and red at your warning points, so presenters can see it from the stage without asking. Press space to pause during technical hiccups.

The whole class in one queue

Paste the group list from Excel once. Press "Next" when a group finishes: the clock resets for the next group and shows who is up after them. Shuffle the order if you want it random.

Actual times for grading

Every time you press Next, the talk, Q&A and overtime of the group that just finished are logged. Copy or download the CSV straight into your marking sheet. The log stays in this browser only.
